Coronavirus : Global case total approaches 4 million

• More than 3.9 million people worldwide have tested positive for the coronavirus, according to data from Johns Hopkins University, and over 275,000 have died.

• In the United States, there have been over 1.2 million confirmed COVID-19 cases. More than 77,000 Americans have died.

• Vice President Mike Pence’s press secretary tested positive for the virus on Friday. President Trump’s personal valet tested positive on Wednesday.

• A 5-year-old boy in New York City became the first child in the U.S. to die from a mysterious illness linked to the coronavirus.

• Seoul shut down more than 2,100 bars and nightclubs after 18 new cases in the Korean capital, most of them linked to a club patron.
